On this episode we answer two different step mom’s concerns surrounding their step children, spouses and exes. When your step children are disrespectful, how can you show up differently and not makes things worse by acting a fool? We give some perspective about this. Reactions matter! It can be especially straining on a marriage when you’re negatively reacting to someone else’s child. We talk about parent alienation surrounding child support; oh yes, the two can be linked and create a really devastating situation. Kids need both parents; it’s in their best interest if both parents are willing, capable and safe. Finally we address how you deal with bio mom harassing you, the step mom, on all the different platforms. The Purpose
Why is talking about blended families and life in general important? Because we believe that we can do better than what statistics say about second marriages lasting, about blending families making it, that’s why! A 70% divorce rate statistic for remarriages with children is simply unacceptable! Spreading life lessons, passing along wisdom gained from experience and bringing to light what is often happily left in the dark to hide, is how we all can learn to be better, to do better the second time around (in a blended family many lives depend on it). Together we can avoid costly mistakes that will end in the demise of our precious families.
